Khaleda urges unity, quick action to institutionalise democracy
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has called for swift action to institutionalise democracy in Bangladesh, emphasising unity and justice for victims of political violence.
"The opportunity we have before us to institutionalise the democratic system must be completed quickly," she said while virtually addressing a discussion meeting in Dhaka today.
She called on everyone to maintain unity, saying, "Let us all come together and make the dream of Shaheed Zia a reality. The dream of building a new Bangladesh for millions of people."
She also demanded a comprehensive list of victims of abduction, murder, and extrajudicial killings.
"We must ensure prompt justice and state recognition. Every fam
ily must be provided with honourable rehabilitation and a secure future," she said.
