CA Yunus urges the establishment of "equality, justice, and peace" during Holy Ashura.
The establishment of "equality, justice, and peace" in society has been emphasized by Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus, who has also expressed his wish for the "unity, solidarity, and continued advancement" of the Muslim Ummah.
Prof. Yunus stated in his message on the occasion of the sacred Ashura that the world will never forget the valiant Islamic fighters who gave their lives in opposition to the oppressor's injustice.
He emphasized the importance of Ashura, saying that it will continue to give people the courage and strength to stand up for justice and truth against injustice and oppression.
On Sunday, the nation will mark the sacred Ashura, which honors the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), with the appropriate solemnity and religious fervor.
It is a public holiday today.
Ashura, the Islamic calendar's 10th of Muharram, marks the day in the Hijri year of 61 when Prophet Hazrat Muhammad's (PBUH) grandson, Hazrat Imam, and his 72 followers accepted martyrdom at the hands of Yazid's soldiers in the Karbala desert in order to preserve the teachings of the Prophet (SM).
The Chief Adviser added, "I offer my sincere condolences on this solemn day of Holy Ashura to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the cherished grandson of the greatest Prophet and Messenger Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), and all those who were cruelly slain in the Karbala desert."
