Mostafa Mohsin Montu, the president of the Gonoforum and a former member of parliament, died on Sunday while receiving medical care at a major hospital. He was seventy-nine.
Muhammad Ullah Modhu, the publicity and publication secretary for Gonoforum, claimed that Montu, one of the Liberation War organizers, passed away at Square Hospital at approximately 5:00 p.m.
According to him, the leader of the Gonoforum was recently hospitalized due to lung illnesses.
Since his time as a student, Montu has been active in Bangladesh Awami League politics. He was chosen president of the Jubo League, the Awami League's youth wing. In addition, he was the general secretary of the Dhaka City chapter of the Awami League.
In the third parliamentary election in 1986, he was elected as an MP from the Dhaka-3 constituency while running as an Awami League candidate.
