ISPR objects to a story about Bangladesh's "Military Operations Zone" in the Indian media.

The story "Bangladesh will proclaim Cox's Bazar to Bandarban area as a military operations zone" published by Northeast News, an Indian news agency, has drawn criticism from the Bangladesh Army.
According to a press release from Inter Services Public Relations, the Northeast News piece is a glaring example of intentional misinformation spread by sections of the Indian media in an effort to weaken Bangladesh's military forces and undermine the country's internal unity.

"It is harmful and unfounded to suggest that the Bangladesh Army backs rebel actors. The ISPR claims that such unsupported speculative reporting is part of a larger effort to foment division and mislead the public.

The Bangladesh Army is steadfastly dedicated to defending the country's sovereignty, integrity, and constitutional order, and it has always maintained the highest standards of professionalism. The national interest will never, ever be compromised. This story is a part of an ongoing slander effort and is not journalism. In defense of its citizens and its territory, Bangladesh is steadfastly united and aligned," it continued.
