G7 leaders at a conference in Canada on Monday released a united statement stressing Israel's right to self-defense in the worsening Middle East situation and called for "de-escalation" on Iran.
The declaration declared, "We affirm that Israel has a right to defend itself." Iran cannot ever possess a nuclear weapon, as we have often stated.
"We demand that a truce in Gaza and a wider de-escalation of hostilities in the Middle East follow the resolution of the Iranian situation."
