Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar (CR Abrar), an education consultant, revealed that he received a Tk 10 million payment in exchange for assigning someone to a high-level job. He stated that he turned down the offer, highlighting the need of moral behavior among his coworkers.
The advisor declared, "I am not trying to beat my own drum." "However, I do hope that my coworkers will maintain the same moral position."
During a news briefing at the secretariat on Wednesday afternoon, he made the comment in response to inquiries from reporters.
Professor CR Abrar stated, "Let me give an example," as he revealed the case. In one instance, I was pressured to assign someone to a high-level position. On his behalf, I was also approached by a prominent public intellectual. Nevertheless, we turned down the proposal since the candidate's poor record made the appointment unjustified.
He went on, "He later attempted to contact me via other means, making a substantial financial offer. I am bringing up the number: they made an offer of Tk 10 million. Through a person I know who works for an organization, the offer was made. "I can not even bring this up to him in this circumstance, and even if I could, he would never consent to it," was the response from that individual.
Referring to the government's stance on corruption, the adviser said they are committed to a policy of zero tolerance, and there is no intention to accommodate corruption in any form.
