After play is hampered by rain, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka drew their first Test match.

Rain prevented the contest in Galle from reaching a genuine finale on Saturday, as the first Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka ended in a wet draw.
When stumps were drawn 9.5 overs into the last hour, Sri Lanka was struggling at 72-4 after being given a daunting order of 296 in 37 overs. Both captains shook their heads and conceded that no outcome was imaginable.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, the captain of Bangladesh, had the day after scoring hundreds in both innings.
After scoring 148 in his opening innings, Shanto made an undefeated 125 in the second.
