After a 48-hour closure, the NBR Reform Council withdraws its proposal.

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) officials have announced the withdrawal of all ongoing programs, including a complete shutdown.

Due to the NBR Reform Unity Council's complete shutdown program, import and export trade was suspended for 48 hours. After the Financial Advisor and business leaders held negotiations and a five-member advisory committee was established to improve the revenue system, the movement was withdrawn.

Hasan Muhammad Tareque Rikabder, president of the NBR Reform Unity Council, and Sehela Siddika, secretary general, released this information in a press release on Sunday evening.

According to the release, the NBR Reform Unity Council is rescinding its total shutdown at the request of the nation's top business leaders and for the greater good of the populace and economy. We will, however, carry on with our ongoing efforts to develop a comprehensive and sustainable revenue system.
