Reuters, June 20 On Friday, a federal appeals court halted Louisiana's implementation of a law mandating that the Ten Commandments be displayed in every classroom at the state's public colleges and institutions.
A three-judge panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans unanimously affirmed a November 2024 decision by a lower court judge who blocked the law's enforcement, calling it "plainly unconstitutional."
